We live in a time where the majority of our communication is done through social media platforms. These platforms are almost always free to use, but if you read the terms and conditions carefully, you’ll find that nothing is ever truly free. You pay with your personal information, and if you haven’t thought about platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and YouTube like that before, you’ll be shocked over how much is known about you. On top of that, social media is one of the fastest ways to catch someone in a scam and can be very lucrative to people with bad intentions.  Luckily, Rebecca Bredin from Bredin Digital is here to share every trick she has learnt in this new webinar series, How to Spot and Avoid Scams.

About Rebecca Bredin and Bredin Digital

Bredin Digital is a video production company based out of Brockville, Ontario. It was founded in 2020 by Rebecca Bredin, with the original goal of helping small businesses learn how to develop their online presence further through social media. As Bredin Digital continued to develop, it focused more on creating professional-level video content for local businesses that can be used on social media platforms.

Rebecca Bredin is the founder of Bredin Digital. She has been working in digital marketing and social media for over 10 years and has been using most of the major social media platforms used now since their early founding stages. Rebecca has also previously worked as a digital analyst in the trust and safety department for a major social media platform, so she has developed a keen eye for identifying bad actors and scammers on the internet. After returning to Brockville in 2019, Rebecca began working with small business owners of all generations and saw a need for more digital literacy education opportunities. Through these webinars, Rebecca hopes she can help people save themselves from scammers and feel safer online.
